Day 1 Arrive in Berlin, Germany
Welcome to Berlin! At 6 pm, meet your Tour Director and traveling companions, and begin your fellowship at this evening’s welcome dinner
with wine at your hotel. (Dinner)
Day 2 Berlin-Wittenberg
Sightseeing with a Local Guide in the once-divided metropolis includes the elegant Ku’damm, the restored Reichstag, Charlottenburg Castle, a
picture stop at monumental Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial, and the 21-foot Victory Column in the vast Tiergarten park. Visit the
KAISER WILHELM MEMORIAL CHURCH with its bomb-damaged spire, drive along Unter den Linden boulevard, and pass the State Opera
House and Checkpoint Charlie. In the afternoon, continue to Wittenberg, Martin Luther’s hometown for more than 30 years and birthplace of
the Reformation. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 3 Wittenberg-Leipzig
Enjoy a guided walking tour and see the Luther House, where Martin Luther and his family lived. Also visit ST. MARY’S CHURCH, a
twin-towered gothic church where Luther preached reform, got married, and baptized his six children. Finally, see the door of Castle Church,
where Luther posted his 95 Theses, launching the Reformation in 1517. A special visit has been included to the renaissance-style
MELANCHTHON HOUSE, built in 1536 and today a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This 3-story architectural jewel was gifted to Philipp
Melanchthon, Luther’s closest friend and “Teacher of Germany,” to entice him to remain at the local university. Continue to Leipzig for a walking
tour and visit to the THOMASKIRCHE, where Johann Sebastian Bach worked as a cantor. Also visit the market square that today is a site for
celebrations and festivals, but once was the scene of executions and political demonstrations. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 4 Leipzig-Eisleben-Erfurt
Today, stop in Eisleben, where Luther’s life began and ended. Visit his BIRTH HOUSE and DEATH HOUSE MUSEUMS, both UNESCO World
Heritage Sites; as well as ST. PETER & PAUL CHURCH, where Luther was baptized, and ST. ANDREW’S CHURCH, where Luther preached
his last sermon in 1546. Later, drive to Erfurt, whose 36 churches, 15 monasteries, and other ecclesiastical buildings have earned it the
nickname “Thuringian Rome.” The beautiful Old Town preserves the atmosphere Luther must have experienced during his student days. A
highlight is an inspirational visit to the AUGUSTINIAN MONASTERY where Luther lived as a monk, and the unique MERCHANTS’ BRIDGE,
lined with half-timbered homes on both sides. (Breakfast)
Day 5 Erfurt. Excursion to Eisenach
Journey to Eisenach, where Luther lived first in LUTHER HOUSE and then, where he lived in disguise as “Knight George” in WARTBURG
CASTLE. You will visit both with an expert Local Guide. Also visit ST. GEORGE’S CHURCH, where Luther was a choir boy and later preached;
see the Luther and Bach Memorials; and Nikolai Church and Gate, through which Luther passed whenever he entered or left Eisenach.

Day 6 Erfurt-Coburg-Mainz
Continue south today to Coburg and visit fascinating COBURG FORTRESS, where Luther lived, protected, during the Imperial Diet of
Augsburg in 1530. As an outlaw of the Holy Roman Empire, he could not attend the Imperial Diet of Augsburg, but instead spent his time
translating the Bible into German and writing on Reformation issues. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 7 Mainz. Excursion to Worms & The Rhine Valley
In Worms, where the Imperial Council passed judgment on Luther in 1521, visit the CATHEDRAL where Luther presented his case, as well as
TRINITY CHURCH and the REFORMATION MONUMENT. Later, reflect on the beauty during a scenic RHINE CRUISE past castle-crested
cliffs, terraced vineyards, and half-timbered towns. The evening is at leisure. (Breakfast)
Day 8 Mainz-Rothenburg-Nuremberg
This morning, visit the GUTENBERG MUSEUM in Mainz, which houses original copies of the Bible. Next up: the medieval walled town of
Rothenburg, where your walking tour visits ST. JACOB’S CHURCH with its masterpiece Altar of the Holy Blood. Afterwards, there is time to
shop for the town’s famed Christmas ornaments. On to Nuremberg, the first town to accept the Reformation in 1525. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 9 Nuremberg-Augsburg-Munich
Your walking tour in Nuremberg features the gothic ST. LORENZ LUTHERAN CHURCH, where you can pause for quiet meditation. In
Augsburg, guided sightseeing reveals the city where Luther and his followers proclaimed their faith. The next two nights are in Munich, capital
of Bavaria. (Breakfast)
Day 10 Munich
In the company of a Local Guide, explore Germany’s “Secret Capital” today, including the Olympic Stadium, the 1,000-foot-high Television
Tower, MARIENPLATZ with the Old and the New Town Halls, and the gothic Frauenkirche. An optional excursion is available to Linderhof
Castle and to Oberammergau, where townspeople faithfully perform the Passion Play every 10 years. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner with
wine at your hotel. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 11 Munich Your Reformation discovery ends with breakfast this morning. (Breakfast)

Day 1 Arrive in Athens, Greece
Welcome to Athens! At 6 pm, meet your Tour Director and traveling companions, then enjoy a welcome dinner with wine at your hotel to
celebrate the start of your upcoming spiritual journey. (Dinner)
Day 2 Athens-Thessalonika
Head north to Thessalonika this morning for guided sightseeing. Named after Alexander the Great’s sister, it figures prominently in the New
Testament. This was the center of Apostle Paul’s activities in northern Greece-where he preached, founded a church, and to whom he wrote
his two Thessalonians epistles. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 3 Thessalonika. Excursion to Philippi & Kavala
Today begins along Paul’s route via Amphipolis, a wealthy city in ancient Macedonia where a large number of Christian churches were built in
the 5th and 6th centuries. Next, travel to Philippi, a busy Roman colony with an impressive library and theater. It was here that Paul preached
and established the first church in Europe, and to whom he wrote his Philippians epistle while imprisoned in Rome. Continue to Kavala, ancient
port of Neapolis. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 4 Thessalonika-Veria-Kalambaka
This morning, stop in Veria (called Berea in the New Testament), where Paul and Silas were sent by friends after being accused of treason in
Thessalonika. Visit the BEMA OF APOSTLE PAUL, where he preached the gospel to the local community, then continue to Kalambaka, home
to the awe-inspiring Meteora monasteries. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 5 Kalambaka-Meteora-Athens
A real highlight is in store today. Situated atop soaring cliffs and rock faces, the Meteora monasteries create one of the most inspirational sites
in the world. Visit the HOLY MONASTERY OF VARLAAM, the second-largest of the monasteries, and the HOLY MONASTERY OF ST.
STEPHEN, which was bombed by the Nazis during WWII but later was reconstructed by nuns. Here you will be introduced to the many
historical and religious treasures. Return to Athens for an overnight. (Breakfast)
Day 6 Athens-Lavrion/Piraeus (Embarkation)-Mykonos
Awaken refreshed this morning and ready to begin your 3-night CRUISE around the Greek Isles and Turkey. Head first to mountainous
Mykonos with its iconic windmills and brilliant whitewashed houses. Watch for Petros the Pelican, the island’s most famous resident since
1954! (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 7 Kusadasi, Turkey-Excursion to Ephesus-Patmos, Greece
Visit the Turkish port of Kusadasi for an included excursion to the RUINS OF EPHESUS, the former capital of the Roman province of Asia.
Walk in the footsteps of Apostle Paul, who lived and preached here, and meditate on what life must have been like for the early Ephesian
Christians in this pagan society. Also see the House of Mary, where the Virgin Mary is said to have spent her last days. Continue your cruise to
the island of Patmos, the “Jerusalem of the Aegean,” and visit the MONASTERY OF ST. JOHN and the CAVE OF THE APOCALYPSE, where
John the Evangelist received the visions that he recorded in the Book of the Revelation during his exile. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 8 Cruising: Crete, Heraklion-Santorini
First port of call today is Heraklion on Crete. An included excursion is available to nearby KNOSSOS, the center of the 3000 BC Minoan
civilization and historic site of mythology’s tales about the Minotaur and the labyrinth. Afternoon call (weather permitting) at Santorini, the
“Black Pearl of the Aegean.” An optional shore excursion takes you up to the cliff-top village of Oia for one of the world’s most glorious
panoramic views.(Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 9 Lavrion/Piraeus (Disembarkation)-Corinth-Athens
Disembark and travel to Corinth to visit the EXCAVATIONS where Apostle Paul worked for 18 months with tent-makers Aquila and Priscilla.
Learn about this ancient city-state and its early church, which was the recipient of Paul’s two Corinthians epistles. Return to Athens for
sightseeing that visits the ACROPOLIS with the Parthenon and AREOPAGUS, where Paul delivered his famous sermon about the identity of
the “Unknown God.” Tonight, join your traveling companions for a final evening of fellowship and celebration at a farewell dinner with wine at
your hotel. (Breakfast, Dinner)
Day 10 Athens Your vacation ends with breakfast this morning. (Breakfast)
